Assumptions and formulas

Growth rates are annual and applied smoothly each month: a value in month m is the starting annual figure divided by 12, multiplied by (1 + rate) raised to m / 12.

Revenue = starting revenue / 12 x (1 + revenue growth)^(m/12). Payroll = headcount x (1 + headcount growth)^(m/12) x average pay x (1 + wage growth)^(m/12) / 12. Other operating costs = starting other costs / 12 x (1 + inflation)^(m/12) x (1 + cost growth above inflation)^(m/12). Operating margin = (revenue - payroll - other costs) / revenue.

Headcount is allowed to be fractional to keep growth smooth. Taxes, financing, one-off costs and seasonality are not included. Rates are limited to -50% to 100% per year.
